Storyboard 7.1 - Now Available

Enhancing the experience for MCU GUI app development

With their small stature and low-power needs, microcontrollers expand the possibility of creating beautiful, small embedded products. However, even as processing power & resources expand, MCUs can present GUI development teams with challenges that need to be overcome when looking to ensure their GUI delivers the UX that was promised.

Storyboard 7.1 introduces enhancements designed to help speed up the development process and tear down the obstacles of creating sophisticated GUI applications for microcontroller-based devices.

What is new to help customers achieve this?

  • rendering text along a path or curved line (curvilinear) for support of curved screens, such as those found on wearable devices;
  • tables and lists created using clicks removing the need to manually write code to do it;
  • Runtime optimizations for better performance on smaller resourced devices;
  • and more.
