VIDEO: Optimizing Graphics Memory in Embedded Systems

Today’s 3D and 2D graphics require a significant amount of memory, which is already a limited resource in embedded systems. In this session, we’re going to talk about how you can compose a rich embedded UI using different image formats, and how they can contribute to the consumption or preservation of memory. Thomas Fletcher, Crank’s VP of R&D will cover the different image formats available, and talk about when and where they can and should be used within your embedded UI. How to handle memory fragmentation, and use flash memory as a place to store content, while still leveraging RAM optimal for execution.
