Working with 3D content in Storyboard is simple and straightforward. To start, create a new project by either File > New > Storyboard Application or selecting New Empty Project from the Application View.
Give your Project a name and click Finish.
Once the empty project loads add a 3D Model Control to the screen.
Similar to when working with images you will be asked to import content into your project. The 3D Model Selection dialog will pop up giving you the ability to select existing models already loaded into your application or import new 3D content.
To import a model click on the Import button, Storyboard supports the FBX and OBJ file formats.
During the import process, the 3D model will be converted to our .ssg format then placed in a newly created models directory in the root of your project. Select your model and start adding 3D content to your Storyboard projects.
Once the model loads, it might not be immediately visible. In that case, you can make use of the Resize Model option in the properties view of the 3D model Control. This option modifies some of the camera coordinates to make the model visible.
The 3D model should now be visible after using the Resize Model option.
